Who are We?
SAL means sufficient access within our locality.
The SAL Foundation was founded by youths permanently living Kenya as a result of their life experiences. Over time, the project has been operating as a foundation in Kenya, Eastern Africa. It was established to promote and encourage formal education among Orphans and most Vulnerable Children especially the physically challenged in rural areas but later integrated food, clothing and medical care programs due to difficulty conditions of life as most children would miss school due to lack of food, school fees and proper school uniform. The project is now widely known and referred to SAL FOUNDATION.
SAL Foundation is run by BOD with a project co-coordinator supported by highly skilled and experienced personnel who are particularly the youths in this country. The foundation also welcomes social workers on voluntary basis. To complement their services, qualified officers from Ministry of education, Ministry of Health, and Ministry of Gender, Culture and Social Services, Ministry of Devolution under department of special programs, Ministry of Environment and Local Administration are usually engaged from time to time.
